May 15, 2020 – As we end the week half way through the month of May, there is much to be thankful for. We celebrated Mother’s Day with parades at both Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center and Mary Ann Morse at Heritage. We also celebrated National Nurses Day with much appreciation for our nurses who have been a tremendous support to our residents over these past several weeks. And we celebrate life with the trees and flowers in bloom.
To keep you updated, Mary Ann Morse at Heritage in Framingham requested the National Guard conduct baseline testing on all residents and staff that had not been previously tested for COVID-19. This was conducted on Wednesday, May 13. There were a total of 62 tests completed on-site. I am pleased to inform you that all 62 tests came back NEGATIVE. We, again, would like to thank the National Guard mobile COVID testing unit for their partnership.
As of today, Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center currently has 3 positive COVID-19 cases. One of these cases is newly reported within the last 72 hours.
The steps for COVID-19 mitigation based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the MA Department of Public Health (MA DPH) to reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19 reported to you in our update on May 12, 2020 and all prior updates remain in place and will continue to be adhered to as a part of our vigilant infection control protocol.
